It’s Here!
We now have a bottle of George Washington’s Rye Whiskey in our possession. We traveled all the way to Lexington, Kentucky (by Daniel Boone National Park) to pick up this very special whiskey. One lucky winner will get to take home the bottle which will be raffled off at Dr. Nogier’s seminar in October.
We are staying in the town of Harrodsburg, Kentucky, which is the oldest town in the state and the first permanent settlement west of the Appalachian Mountains.
Washington’s Whiskey
George Washington Straight Rye Whiskey
600 bottles of the aged George Washington Straight Rye Whiskey® will be available for sale Thursday, July 3 and Friday, July 4 at 10 a.m. A limited number of bottles will be available each day.
The aged George Washington Straight Rye Whiskey® was made at the reconstructed Distillery according to the original recipe. Aged on site in charred oak barrels for two years, Mount Vernon’s latest batch of whiskey represents a break with tradition: George Washington himself never aged his own whiskey, sending it straight to market instead. The result is a whiskey that evokes Washington’s spirit of creativity and enterprise, appealing to modern-day whiskey connoisseurs with its mellow flavor, rich color, and pleasing appearance. Each 375 ml bottle will be sold on a first come, first-served basis. There are approximately 300 bottles available per day and purchases will be limited to two (2) bottles per person. Any whiskey remaining unsold will be available for sale on subsequent days in The Shops at Mount Vernon & The Gristmill Shop, without a numbered voucher, until sold out.
